Are you Organic?

The use of the word “organic” in the U.S. is regulated by law, which is managed by the National Organic Program (NOP) within the USDA. Farmers who are certified organic or those who sell less than $5,000 a year of organic products can use the word “organic” .  We use certified organic chicken manure for fertilizer, certified organic potting soil to start our transplants, some of our seeds are saved by us the rest are purchased from organic and non -gmo sources, transplants are grown by us as our greenhouse space allows.  We utilize crop rotations to improve and maintain soil fertility, use good bugs to control bad bugs.  We avoid the use of herbicides, pesticides and fungicides.  We provide safe havens for naturally occuring beneficial insects and pollinators.
